DriveTimeTracker is built to keep your data yours. This page explains, in plain language, what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
What we collect
Only what the app needs to work: a first name, the drives you log (date, length, conditions, a note if you add one), and — for parents and supervisors — an email address used to sign in. Drivers don't need an email at all. We never collect your location, contacts, or anything from the phone itself.
Where your data lives
Drives are stored on your device so the app works with no signal, and synced to our own server so the people you've invited can see them. That server is run by us, not a third party, and the only people who can see a driver's log are the driver and the supervisors they've linked. Remove a supervisor and they lose access immediately.
Who can see what
A supervisor sees the drives of the drivers they're linked to, and nothing else. A driver sees who is linked to them and can remove anyone at any time. We don't look at your log unless you ask us to for support.
Exports
When you export your log, the app creates a file and hands it to your device's share sheet. Where it goes from there (email, a messaging app, cloud storage) is up to you and governed by that service's privacy policy.
Analytics and ads
None. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs.
This website
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address when the page loads. We don't run analytics on the site.
Children
Many of our users are under 18. We keep what we store to the minimum above, we never sell or share it, and a parent can ask us to delete a driver's data at any time by emailing us.
Deleting your data
Email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it. Drivers without an email can ask a linked supervisor to make the request.
